Drips and weeps cause nuisance to operational and public areas. Leaking structures cause accelerated deterioration to steel beams and mortar joints, retaining walls and abutments. Water permeation through tunnels and arches is a widespread and serious problem.  The types of structure affected can include rail lines, foot and vehicle bridges, retaining walls, locks, basements and shafts.

TAM’s range of specialised materials are well suited to rail problems. Our polyurethanes and acrylic systems are used extensively as an effective method of water control to tunnels, bridges and stations. Our structural grouts such as the TamRez epoxy range are used where a structural element is required. Our cement based coatings are increasingly used in the station sections for London Underground Ltd and Network Rail.
